In the first quarter of 2025, Zengcheng District of Guangzhou City ranked first in the city with an impressive performance of 259 newly authorized invention patents and a growth rate of 48%, fully demonstrating the strong momentum of the region’s innovation-driven strategy. Behind these figures, Bella (Guangzhou) Intelligent Information Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Bella Technology”), which is based in Zengcheng, is a typical example. It has accumulated 98 intellectual property rights, including invention patents. In 2025, its joint research and development with Guangdong University of Technology was particularly outstanding, with 3 newly authorized invention patents and 6 patents entering the substantive examination stage. With its core strength, it leads the AI massage and health track and has become a benchmark enterprise for “high-quality creation of intellectual property rights” in Zengcheng District.
As a national high-tech enterprise, Bella has deeply integrated its patent layout into the regional “1+2+N” public service system. With the government’s support in connecting patent technology, it has built a full-chain ecosystem of “R&D – transformation – implementation”, becoming the core carrier of Zengcheng’s innovation-driven development strategy.
Nourished by Zengcheng’s collaborative innovation system of “industry-academia-research-application”, Bella‘s flagship AI massage chair is equipped with a self-developed 4D core mechanism. Through technological innovation, it has achieved a dual breakthrough of “pressure perception + intelligent adjustment” – the core mechanism automatically detects acupoints on the human body like an “intelligent brain”, and the AI algorithm optimizes the massage intensity in real time, completing the technological leap from “mechanical operation” to “intelligent interaction”.
This technological breakthrough stems from the “AI Massage Chair New R&D Laboratory” jointly established by Bella and Guangdong University of Technology. In 2020, Bella invested in the construction of the Bella Intelligent Semiconductor Packaging and Testing and Forehead Thermometer R&D Headquarters, which integrates high-level talent R&D and creation, brand marketing, achievement transformation, industrial ecosystem incubation, and public technical support. Taking the construction of the semiconductor packaging and testing production line as an opportunity, Bella introduced high-level technical talents in the semiconductor industry and built a public service platform for semiconductor chip technology to serve upstream and downstream enterprises. Its patented achievements have been transformed into best-selling products exported to countries such as the United States, Japan, and Dubai.
In 2024, Bella Technology’s export volume reached US$10.65 million, a year-on-year increase of 55%. Among them, the massage chair equipped with 4D core technology won a US$7.5 million intended order from a Japanese group at the Canton Fair, becoming a representative of the “new three items” of cross-border e-commerce platforms.
The intellectual property collaborative protection mechanism of “clue sharing, information exchange, and evidence mutual recognition” in Zengcheng District, Guangzhou, has safeguarded Bella Technology’s overseas expansion. Zeng Zhitao, Chairman of Bella, mentioned in a symposium at the 135th Canton Fair: “The Premier encouraged us to strengthen Chinese brands through technological innovation, which is highly consistent with Zengcheng’s plan to build a ‘smart manufacturing hub’.”
Standing at the forefront of the artificial intelligence and big health industries, Bella Technology is responding to Zengcheng’s development blueprint of “building a manufacturing-based district” by industrializing its new patented technologies under development. From an advanced manufacturing base in eastern Guangzhou to a global intelligent massage chair supply chain center, Bella measures the depth of its innovation with the number of patents: every technological breakthrough marks a milestone in Zengcheng’s intelligent manufacturing, and every patent transformation is redrawing the global coordinates of “Made in China” intelligent manufacturing. As Professor Ling Yongquan said, “When 98 core patents become the ‘digital genes’ of our products, we have the confidence to let the world see that ‘Made in China’ is not just about manufacturing, but also about creation.”
